Fold Light
Fold Light was developed as a collaboration between Pablo Designs and Haworth, and shown as part of the Haworth Neocon Collection.
Fold Light’s material and design is meant to shine a warm more inviting task lighting for work spaces and informal meeting areas.
Designed in harmony with the Haworth Openest system. Fold flexibly connects to the metallic hangers and hardware of the Openest system in a way that allows easy repositioning and movement with little effort and no tools.
Project Role
As Team Lead for this project I worked to create and refine the form, design, and construction. I worked with our partners on the the unique manufacturing process for producing the shade, and integrated Pablo’s Lana lighting technology into Fold Light.
Fold’s magnetic attachment allows for flexibility in directing warm LED light.
CMF
Fold provides 350 lumens of 3000K light, and its rare earth magnets allow it to mount firmly to any flat ferrous surface. Its two tone shade is made using luxury 100% wool felt to give a warm materiality.
Touch
A touch sensitive switch controls a full range of brightness and dimming level memory.
POSITIONING
Attaches magnetically to the mounting plate or any flat ferrous surface.
FOCUS
Can be rotated to focus of light in any direction.

Fold Light was designed to be able to integrate and contribute to the lush and inviting spaces of Patricia Urquiola’s Openest Collection for Haworth.
